Witcher Crawford was commissioned to coordinate the extensive refurbishment of three mews houses in Chelsea, converting them into a single dwelling.
The changes include the construction of a new modern glazed link which joins the properties across the end of this small mews. This is a very sensitive conservation area where similar proposals had been refused planning permission in the past.
This was overcome by convincing The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea that the project had sufficient design merit, creating a piece of high quality contemporary architecture that enhanced rather than detracted from its setting.
